Dear Parents / A Thuismitheoirí
We are fast approaching the end of another school year! As usual we try finish off the year on a positive note, with each class level being able to celebrate the final few weeks of year with lots of fun activities taking place both inside and outside the school building. If I don’t see you before the day of the holidays, have a great summer.

You will also receive end of year reports. If, for some reason, you do not receive some or all of this information by the end of this week, please contact your child’s teacher using the Chat function on Microsoft Teams.
School Books Scheme
As you are aware, the Department of Education is providing funding for schoolbooks for the coming year. If you would like to view the list of books the school is providing for your child, please check the school website. The school will supply initial stationery in September. However, parents may need to supplement this throughout the year.

A Graduation ceremony for our 6th Class pupils and their parents will take place on Friday 23rd June at 1:45pm in the school yard to mark the end of the boys’ and girls’ time in our school. On this day we will have a short ceremony during which a presentation will be made to the boys and girls by the Parents’ Association. We look forward to seeing parents and family members on the day.
Sports for All Day – Lá Spóirt
We had fantastic Senior and Junior Sports Days on Thursday 1st and 8th June respectively. On these days, the children took part in activities making full use of the school grounds. Many thanks to all the local sporting organisations for providing coaches on the day – the children had a great time enjoying the wide variety of activities. We owe a huge word of thanks to Ms Leen for organising such fantastic sports days.
New Infant Pupils to our School!
During the week, our new infants will be visiting the school for the final time as they prepare to start their time in the school. They will meet their teachers and get the opportunity to see their new classroom to ensure a smooth start to life in CBS Primary!
